Most skincare products I use for my morning routine are absolutely amazing so I had no choice but to share the secret routine with you guys! If you love dewy and glowy skin, this routine MAY be perfect for you. I emphasise the term may because not all products work for everyone. My intention for this blog is to provide you with a basic foundation of what your routine should somewhat look like and what products it should include. Tbf, these products would potentially be perfect for those with irritated, sensitive or dry skin.
First Step
Carbon Theory Cleansing Bar £6- I start off by wetting my face and lathering the bar of soap in my hands. I then apply the lather to my face in circular motions for 30 seconds to cleanse my face. This bar is a charcoal and tea tree cleansing bar. It is an oil break-out bar, which does draw out any impurities. When I first started using this bar it stung my face. When I changed my moisturiser, this reaction had stopped. I think it does not work in combination with highly fragranced skincare. As the first ingredient is a cleansing agent, I wouldn't probably recommend this for really dry skin. I think this product focuses a lot on acne prone skin. I'm still on the search for a good cleansing bar.

Second Step
Oh K! Chok Chok Hydrating Serum Mist £10- On damp skin, I spritz the serum on my face and neck then tap it in with my finger tips. This serum is a hidden gem. It has shimmer particles in the formula. It doesn't look tacky and gives a gorgeous dewy finish. There are so many benefits of this serum, if I told you all of them you won't read the rest of my blog as you'll probably be asleep so, I'll name the main ones. Just before I start, I have researched every ingredient in this product and they're either classified as best or good. It does not have one poor ingredient in it. The serum is vegan and cruelty free. The third ingredient is niacinamide. I repeat... THIRD. Niacinamide ( known as Vitamin B3) is one of the best skin care ingredients as it has multiple benefits; ageing, blemish prone skin, dullness, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, repair damage from UV light and many more. It does have fragrance but it is last on the ingredients list which is acceptable. It also absorbs fast and feels weightless on the skin. It does claim to set makeup however I have never used it on top of makeup so I cannot support this claim. I think a setting spray would be better anyway.

Third Step
COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream £27- After the serum, I apply dots to my face and tap it into my skin. I wish I had brought this years ago. This cream amazing! I've never used a cream where you only need a tiny amount to cover the whole of the face and neck. It is super hydrating and leaves a dewy glow and my skin feels soft AF. The glow lasts throughout the whole day, dry skin is definitely a thing of the past. For my sensitive skin readers it is also hypoallergenic. Again, another product where all the ingredients are either categorised as best or good. You can research them for yourself or trust me.

Fourth Step
Bondi Sands Sunscreen Lotion Face SPF50+ £7- Once my moisturiser has absorbed, I apply a liberal amount of sunscreen. If you don't wear SPF, there is no point wasting money on a skincare routine in fact, there's no point even having a routine. SPF is so crucial for protecting our skin from UVA and UVB rays which causes damage and ageing. This does have a high SPF of 50 but it does not surprisingly leave any white cast (yay!) I must say, this sunscreen is absolutely moisturising. It feels super hydrating and adds more glow! Rather than feeling like a sticky sunscreen it feels like I've applied a normal moisturiser. In addition, it is cruelty free, paraben free, fragrance free and sulphate free. This Sunscreen uses minimal ingredients but provides the best UVA and UVB protecting ingredients. Not one ingredient in the Bondi Sands sunscreen is poor. I wish I found this sunscreen ages ago (sigh), never mind.

Fifth Step
A Lip Scrub and Vaseline- I usually do this before my skincare routine or sometimes after, it doesn't really matter. I like to use a sugar scrub to exfoliate my lips and then use Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. I have done a blog on how to prep your lips for lipstick application, so feel free to have a read of that to conclude my morning skincare routine.
I have created a Reel on my Instagram Page- @Kritiquewithkim to show you visually how I apply my morning routine.
I hope you enjoyed this blog! Take care everyone and stay safe!
