Our feet are one of the most precious body parts as they help get us from A-B. People usually forget that our feet need extra tlc from time to time. I must admit, I don't really look after my feet or care for them like I should do but, I know this will effect me in the future even though my feet look relatively good now. If I continue to abandon them they won't look good forever. When I was shopping in Boots, I had happen to come across a pair of foot socks. Although I have heard of these I had never used them before so, I was intrigued to test them out for you guys and see their effects. For only £1.99 you can't really go wrong. I decided to get the charcoal and blueberry socks as I wanted to detoxify and nourish my feet which is what my feet deserve. The socks are filled with charcoal and blueberry moisturiser and you wrap them around each foot so the moisturiser can soak into the feet.
How to use
First I used Soap & Glory's The Scrub Of Your Life Body Scrub to get rid of any dead skin that I may have on my feet so the socks can nourish the fresh skin.
I then opened the packet and use scissors to cut the socks from each other as they come in the packet stuck together.
I then placed a foot in each sock and peeled the tab away to securely wrap the sock around my ankle (make sure you stick the tab to the sock and not to your skin.) Make sure you place your foot in the correct pocket because I accidentally put it in between the wrong layer and realised that there are four layers within the sock. The sticky tab then got a bit wet and didn’t stick.
I left the socks on for around half an hour to get the best effects.
I then took my feet out and massaged any left over moisturiser. Although, the consistency of the contents was too thin to moisturise my feet with.
Evaluation:
I don’t know why but my feet felt a bit icky in the socks. The charcoal one had a wet consistency rather than a thick moisturiser. The tab didn’t stick well either so one of my socks wasn’t on tight which may have contributed to the overall effectiveness of the product? Overall, my feet did look fresh and detoxified as they looked brighter. As for smoothness, my feet still feel the same. The mask didn’t really make them feel any softer. I would say this product is great if you’re pampering your whole body or just bored and want to try something new. Kritique Rating: 3/5.
