For Christmas I was gifted new gel polishes from my dear friend Lilly. I wanted to try out something different as I am still on the search for more pinks. Candy Coat is a nail brand that sell a HUGE range of colours. Every colour you can think of they sell. They are a very colourful and bright brand and their packaging is amazing! You can also get free sweets in your packaging when you spend over £25 (OooOooo cool). Not to mention, they have also been seen worn on major celebs such as Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian and her BFF Malika, James Charles and Megan McKenna!

Pros

  • What stood out about this gel polish brand is their opaqueness. I usually wear the colour in the shade 339. This shade is a light pink with a cold undertone so you could automatically imagine that it would need loads of coats to get an even colour however, this has not been the case! After two coats of this gel polish the colour is super pigmented and even, I'm so surprised!

  • The shade 339 is the perfect pink I have been searching for. With other pink gel polishes I have used some have a weird neon overlay when my nails are under specific lighting, if that makes sense? But with Candy Coat the colour has stayed true regardless of what lighting my nails are under.

  • The polish is shiny and does not mattify over time.

  • Candy Coat gel polishes perform exactly how you want them to- long lasting and chip free.

  • They have soo many colours you can play around with and if you have been searching for a specific colour, 9 times out of ten they probably have it.

  • They are affordable at the price of £8 which, I think is amazing considering the quality.

  • You can cure the gel using both LED and a UV lamp.

Cons

  • If you have a job where you have to constantly hand sanitise and wash your hands, after a week and a half or so you may realise that a nail or two will have faint, black lines at the top of the nail however, I have found that this happens with every gel polish that I own.

After nearly two weeks of wear (imagine without the constant hand sanitising, they would have possibly still looked fresh!)
